Nigeria’s U-17 national football team, the Golden Eaglets rounded up their tour of the Middle East with a 3-0 spanking of Al Ahli Club.
In the match played on Tuesday at the Aspire Academy, Dolphins boy, Omo Ojabu (shown on the right) scored twice while Stanley Okoro of Heartland got one goal.
The Golden Eaglets, who will defend the trophy, are set to arrive in the country on Friday from Qatar.
The team has been in Qatar for two weeks perfecting technical and tactical strategies for the tournament.
Coach John Obuh has already picked a list of 21 players for the championship, and the team won all its three friendly games in Qatar, including a 14-1 thrashing of Qatari Sports Club. In its first friendly, the Nigeria team defeated Lukhiya FC 4-2.
Obuh intends to play a Premier League club before the team finally moves into the hotel for the tournament.
