Bayelsa United strong man in defence, Kola Awe may be a Dolphins FC player next season.
Awe has been spotted training with Dolphins for the last two weeks and there are rumours around the camp that he may soon put pen to paper for the Port Harcourt based club.
Following the relegation of Bayelsa United at the end of the last season, many top players of the club decided not to go down with the former League champions but Awe told Npl.com.ng that he is just training with Dolphins to keep fit.
“You know I live in Port Harcourt and even though I have played football in Bayelsa since 2005, my family have been in Port Harcourt,” Awe said.
“I am doing this just to keep fit. Dolphins will not stop me from training with them and that is why I am always part of their sessions but as to whether I will play for them next season, I cant say because I am still a Bayelsa United player.
“My status cannot be hidden so as soon as I commit to a club I am sure the whole world will know.”
