As Kwara United take on Heartland in the star match of the League this weekend, officials of the club must be careful with fans or face severe sanctions from the NPL.

Kwara United hosts Heartland in Offa on Saturday and have already been warned by the NPL of severe sanctions if their fans cause any trouble before, during and after the match.

When Kwara played host to Kano Pillars, a fan allegedly ran in the pitch to mock Pillars’ goalkeeper and it almost led to a scuffle as the keeper was given a red card.

The NPL in a warning to Kwara United say they must produce the fan who did that or face the wrath of the league body.

In the same light Kano Pillars defender, Abubarkar Baleria has been given a stern warning over his behaviour in that game against Kwara United in Offa that ended 1-0 to Kwara.

The NPL say such action will not be tolerated or accepted by them.

Have your say. We'd love to know what you think.
