Top scorer in the Nigeria Premier League this season, Ehiosun Ekigho, has said that he had a pact with God while in church that he wants to score a hat-trick against Sharks Football Club and God answered his prayers.
Ehiosun got into the record books as the first player to score a hattrick in the Nigeria Premier League this season when his three strikes against Sharks ensured his side, Warri Wolves won 3-0 on Sunday against the Port Harcourt side.

According to the Super Eagles striker who has now scored 7 goals this season, he begged God to make him achieve the target so as to be the leading goal scorer before the encounter between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Sierre-Leon on Wednesday in Lagos.
“I have been invited to the Super Eagles camp and I wanted to be top scorer in the League before Wednesday’s match between Nigeria and Sierra Leone and that is why I said that prayer.
“I have to also commend Samson Siasia and Simon Khalika for making me a better and experienced striker,” Ehiosun said.
“A lot of the things I did in the game against Sharks that made me get the hat-trick were things imparted in me by the national team handlers.”
The Warri Wolves marksman said even though he will not be available for his Warri based team for about a month he believes his target of 20 goals this season is very much achievable and that all he needs is the guidance of God as is exemplified by his name Ehiosun meaning the “Holy Spirit is leading me”.
