Super Eagle’s head coach, Samson Siasia says they are all about correcting mistakes as the team begins a new adventure.
Siasia will on Wednesday at the Tesilim Balogun Stadium in Lagos make his debut as head coach of the national team and insists they must do just that.

“It is no big deal. I have followed the Eagles and I know we have made mistakes in the past including the recent past and I will start with correcting those mistakes,” Siasia spoke on a live television program in Lagos on Tuesday.
“We have discussed the game and we have told the players that they must up their game and show more commitment to playing for their country.
“We even discussed the game we lost 1-0 to Guinea in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and we hope to correct the mistakes we made.
“Like I say the first few games will be all about correcting mistakes of the past as we hope the Super Eagles get back to what they were in time past,” Siasia said.
However, there may be a problem of selection ahead of Wednesday’s match against Sierra Leone as a few players are injured while others arrived very late.
Obinna Nsofor and Obiora Nwankwo seem injured as they trained away from the squad on Tuesday while John Mikel Obi has been ruled out medical advice.
Vincent Enyeama joined the team very late on Tuesday night and is carrying an ankle injury.
It seems Samson Siasia has just 15 fully fit players to pick from for Wednesday night’s game.
