Dolphins manager, Stanley Eguma has revealed that his side do not play really well at home because of the pressure to please the home fans.

After a sparkling display last Sunday against Shooting Stars in Abeokuta, an encounter that ended 1-1, Eguma said Dolphins play better football on the road because they do not have that pressure from the home fans.

“I agree that our play is far from inspiring at home but that is because the players are under so much pressure.

“If only the home fans will let them play their game, then we would see the same kind of football we play away from home anytime we are in Port Harcourt,” Eguma told

The team did not return to Port Harcourt but move on to Keffi where they trained until Thursday afternoon when they moved to Jos, venue of Saturday’s game against JUTH.

“We hope to win. In football you want to win every game you play whether home or away and the JUTH match will not be an exception.

“We have already won on the road this season against Plateau United, Crown and Zamfara United and it won’t be bad for team morale if we get another road victory on Saturday,” Eguma said.

Dolphins currently lead the log with 37 points from 17 matches.
