Austin Eguavoen, head coach of Nigeria’s Olympic team says they will not go defensive against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
After beating the Guineans 5-0 in the first leg of the 2012 Olympic Games qualifiers, Eguavoen wants to take the game to the hosts in Sunday’s 2nd leg match.
“We will approach the game like the first leg with the intention of picking the ticket to the next stage in style,” Eguavoen said.
The Former Super Eagles captain, also disclosed that he would ring changes in the midfield but will retain the same formation of 4-3-3 when the team is attacking and 4-4-2 when defending.
“We will be ringing some changes, because Rabiu Ibrahim will play the role Lukman Huruna played in the first leg while Ayo Saka, Otekpa Energi, Uchechi Daniel, and Osas Okoro will make the starting eleven in the midfield,” he said.
“It’s going to be a difficult game and we shall by no means under rate our opponent but one thing we will do is take the game to them.”
