Officials of the National U-23 team have lined up four friendly games as part of preparation of the team’s phase two camping ahead of the Eight Nation CAF U-23 Olympic games qualifier.

Officials have picked Wednesday and Saturday as friendly match days.

To this end, the Olympic Eagles will square up against Shooting Stars Sports Club on Wednesday, October 19 at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium (Liberty Stadium) at 3 pm.

The Team Face Shuttle Sports International club of Lagos by 10am on Saturday, 22nd October while Westerlo Football Club, which is run by former Super Eagles goal keeper, Joseph Dosu would come calling on Wednesday, 26th October and popular Lagos side 36 Lions would be the team’s guest on Saturday, 29th October by 10am.

“These games would allow us test the team, identify grey areas and see how the boys respond to our tactical discipline. We also want to test the confidence of some players during match situations as we are gradually approaching the last days of our phase two camping,” stated Austin Eguavoen who is coach of the Olympic team.
