Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has picked a four-man technical team to assist him in his task of rebuilding the Super Eagles.
“I have picked Daniel Amokachi, Sylvanus Okpala and Valere Houandinou with Ike Shorunmu as goalkeeper coach,” Keshi said on Sunday from Kaduna where he is spending the Muslim holiday with his brother.
Amokachi makes a return to the squad after being part of Lars Lagerback’s World Cup team.
Ike Shorunmu, who was part of the last coaching crew, keeps his place while 1980 Nations Cup winner Sylvanus Okpala will bring valuable guidance.
Togolese Valere Hoaundinou has been Keshi’s right hand man from his time at Togo.
All four officials will report to the Super Eagles camp on Tuesday to begin work.
