Former U17and Super Eagles coach, Sebastian Brodericks says he is happy about his coaching career in the time he was on the bench.

Brodericks who was the first Nigerian coach to win a FIFA World Cup in 1985 with the U16 team told that looking back he is a fulfilled man.

“I am not a very rich man but I look back at what I achieved as a coach with clubsides like El Kanemi and Bendel Insurance as well as the U16 and senior national team then I can smile when I think about my coaching career.

“You know I was involved in bringing the first World Cup to Africa, then again we must agree that money is not everything so looking back, I really have no regrets,” Brodericks said.

He continued that he has lots of his colleagues who are either dead or bed ridden currently but he is still going strong so he can only be happy that he is currently seen as a father figure amongst coaches in Nigeria.

“I started coaching in 1973 and only retired a few years ago so I am really a happy with what I have done in my life.”
