ASEC Mimosa of Abijan Striker Kayode Olarenwaju and Ahly Shendi of Sudan star Francis Ikechukwu have been invited to the Nigeria National U-23 camp ahead of the upcoming CAF eight nations championship in Morocco.
Both players were issued invitation at the weekend.
Francis Ikechukwu was in the Benin camp of the team during its final days of preparations for the Olympic games qualifying rounds but was not fortunate enough to make the team.
Olarewanju Kayode who was one of the stars of the Flying eagles at the just concluded U-20 world cup in Colombia is the fifth player to be invited from the squad to the junior world cup.
Already goal keeper Dami Paul, Mbah Chimieze have both been decamped while Egbedi Edafe who will sign for a Danish first division side today did not report to camp due to his test period with the club.
Enyimba’s Emmanuel Anyanwu the fifth player from the flying Eagles is presently in camp.
Meanwhile Austin Eguavoen on Monday morning released from camp six players in preparation for the final phase of camping.
He is expected to embark on the European concentration camp with 25 players.
Among those decamped on Monday were Enyimba duo of Maduabuchi Josiah, Monday Osagie, Dolphins Fetus Austin, Kano Pillars Shehu Shagari, Oliha Aigbe and Wisdom Wisdom.
