Former Super Eagles player, Mutui Adepoju says Nigeria must face the fact that things went bad and start on the road to recovery.
Adepoju told naijafootball247.com that the worst that could have happened was not qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations and it is time to make that change.
“We must agree that things went bad but is that the end of the world?
“Ghana faced this same problem, Cote D’Ivoire too but they are getting it right now so why can’t we?
“We have seen what has happened and we have the potentials to correct the mistakes of our past so its time we started working and do less talking or complaining,” Adepoju said.
On the recent appointment of Stephen Keshi as head coach of the team, Adepoju says Keshi has done a lot before and is experienced.
“I believe all we want is a change. We want Nigerian football to go forward and I know that is what will happen eventually.”
