Warri Wolves’ Director of Football, Fuludu Edema says the club is satisfied with the output of Jude Aneke in the league this season.
Aneke has come under fire from fans of the club who believe he has not been capable replacement for Ekigho Ehiosun who now plays in Turkey, but Edema fuludu told naijafootball247.com that the money used to purchase Jude Aneke should not be the issue to be discussed.
He rather added that with time, Aneke will start scoring regularly for Warri Wolves.
“The truth is that he is a good player. When you are on top, you have every defender in the league targeting you and that is what Aneke is currently going through,” Edema said.
“He has to put up one hundred and ten percent performance all the time. He has to rise up to the occasion but I won’t exactly say he has been a flop so far. He has not.
Jude Aneke broke the Nigerian league goals record with Kaduna United scoring 20 goals in the process and joined Warri Wolves in a deal said to be worth twelve million naira (about $75,000).
Jude Aneke has scored five goals for Warri Wolves so far this season.
Incidentally at this same stage last season he had five goals under his belt only to go on a late blitz grabbing fifteen more in the second round.
