Assistant coach of Rivers Angels, White Ogbonda says the team is going for the double this season after managing to win just the women FA Cup last season.

Ogbonda told that they have set this double target for themselves to assert their dominance on women football in the country.

“Last season we were only able to win the FA Cup and though we did our best, we were only able to finish second in the Women Professional League.

“We have told ourselves and our fans that we will do the double this season to show that we are indeed the best as far as club football in Nigeria is concerned,” White said.

Rivers Angels currently lead the log 15 points from 6 matches played before the league was forced to go on break.
