Super Eagles attacker, Ikechukwu Uche says there is no added pressure on him as he leads the attack of the national team against Rwanda in an Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifying match on Saturday.
“There is no weight on me. I think everyone here is doing his best to try and give something to the team from the goalkeeper to the people up front.
“Me, personally I don’t feel pressure except that normal one that every player has to play well and win games.
“I will do what I can. Work very hard to give the team what they want and I believe my colleagues will do the same.
“We all know the importance of our next game and we are all ready for it on Saturday,” Uche told naijafootball247.com.
Uche continued that he did not set any target for himself as he journeyed to Nigeria for the World Cup and Nations’ Cup qualifiers.
“There’s no need setting a target for myself. The only target I have is to be part of the team and win with the team and that is what I did.
“The fans should always expect positive results and we are here to give them these results so at the end of the day they go home happy.”
Nigeria drew the first leg against the Rwandans 0-0 and need just a win of any kind to qualify for the next stage of games in September.
