Super Eagles attacker, Nnamdi Oduamadi says he is still not over Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the Olympic Games starting this week in London.

Oduamadi who only recently joined Italian Serie B side, Varese on loan told that he still wishes Nigeria qualified for the Olympic Games as that would have been a chance for him to strut his stuff on the world stage.

“I was part of the team up till the final qualifying stage in morocco and I really felt bad that I did not make the final team and we failed to qualify.

“I was happy when the coach (Eguavoen) came to Italy to ask permission from my club to let me play but eventually my club failed to release me,” Oduamadi said.

“I remember always calling to know the results of the games but eventually I see it as a game of luck where you either win or lose and on that occasion we lost.”

Though he made his international debut for Nigeria against Kenya, on March 29, 2011, featuring as a second half substitute, he missed a chance to play for the new look Super Eagles team under Stephen Keshi when a hip injury knocked him out of possibly playing in three games against Namibia, Malawi and Rwanda.

Senegal, Gabon, Egypt and Morocco will represent Africa at the games.
