Super
Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike says his game against Liberia could have been
better if there was more understanding in the team.

The
Spartak Moscow player told naijafootball247.com that he did not get balls the way
he likes them played to him from the mid field.
“I
like to run on the pitch. I’m a runner. I normally want my balls played in
space and then I go for it. Those are the kinds of balls I want but you will
understand that we haven’t played together for long and these things come with
more playing time,” Emenike said.
Emenike
however added that despite all he’s happy Nigeria have qualified for the Africa
Cup of Nations and looks forward to playing for the first time.
“I
am really happy we qualified because it has been hard for us. Hopefully now we
are back in Africa, we can begin to look forward to having a good tournament in
South Africa.”
Nigeria’s
manager, Stephen Keshi surprisingly started Emenike ahead of Ikechukwu Uche but
Emenike was taken off after at least providing the pass for Ahmed Musa’s goal.
Emenike
made his Nigeria debut against  Sierra
Leone in 2011.
