Kano
Pillars defender, Umar Zango has told naijafootball247.com that they can win
against Jordan next week and also the Championship for African Nations, CHAN in
South Africa in January.
Zango
who has been a main stay in the Home Based Super Eagles team says the Jordan
game is good preparation for them.
“It
is good preparation for us ahead of the CHAN in South Africa and those of us in
camp are actually looking forward to that game and the main one next year.
“We
believe we can win the CHAN next year and if you have watched our team play in
recent times you will see that we have a decent side out there,” Zango
told naijafootball247.com.
“We
can win the CHAN. We will try our best to win too. And playing under Keshi is
one of the best experiences I have had as a player. Keshi is a great coach and
the way he handles us is really very great.”
Coach
of the side, Stephen Keshi has however said he has had little time to work on
the team for the game against Jordan and CHAN.
The
coach had wanted to call up the full squad before the FIFA Brazil 2014 World
Cup Qualifier against Malawi two months ago in order to kick start their
preparations but his request was turned down by the Nigeria Football
Federation.
