“No court order to stop Nigerian League”

The
League Management Company, LMC have come out to say there is no truth in
rumours that the League is on hold.
According
to a statement made available to naijafootball247.com, there is no truth in rumours
that there has been a court order to stop the League.
“Fixtures
of the Glo Premier League will hold as scheduled,” according to the League
Management Company Ltd.
“We
have received several enquiries concerning a rumour spreading that there is a
Court order stopping the League.
“We
wish to clarify that we are not aware of any such court order and will seek
appropriate legal advice from our lawyers concerning this rumour,” the release
said.
It
went on to reassure all the participating clubs, referees, Match Commissioners,
fans and all other stakeholders that the scheduled fixtures for the Nigeria
Professional Football League (Glo Premier League) will continue to hold as
scheduled.
Bayelsa
United take on Sharks on Thursday in Sapele in a rescheduled game while Sunshine
Stars host Enyimba in Akure.
Warri
Wolves take on Elkanemi at the Warri City Stadium on Thursday.
Match
Day 2 games will be played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
