Former
Plateau United Football Club goalkeeper, Danladi Isah, has said that the
semi-final match of the 4th edition of Gold Cup Pre-season Tournament between
his new club, Kano Pillars and Lobi Stars Football Club is not a do-or-die
affair.
Danladi
who was excellent in goal for Pillars in his debut when they defeated Niger
Tornadoes FC 1-0 in their final group match on Tuesday evening tagged the
semi-final engagement between the Sai Masu Gida and the Pride of Benue not a
do-or-die.
“Well,
first we as Kano Pillars family must give thanks to God for taking us far in
this ongoing Gold Cup Pre-season Tournament.
“Talking
about the semi-final clash against Lobi Stars it’s never a do-or-die situation
for us. It’s just a football match but I must tell you this Pillars have this
tradition in any game we play you must give your best to win and I believe
winning is our birthright.
“Every
team that came for this tournament gave their best and we all know that it’s
just one team that will lift the trophy at the end of the day and all the teams
who are still in the tournament are all doing well but I believe we will be
crowned champions at the end of it all,” he concluded.

Pillars
the defending champion of the country’s most prestigious pre-season tournament
earned the semi-final ticket after topping Group A with 8 points from four
games will battle Group B runners up Lobi Stars at the Pitch A of the Otunba
Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode on Friday evening in a match that
promises to be exciting and entertaining.
