Rivers
Angels coach, Regina Akaraonye says she is expecting a big battle
from hosts, FC Robo as the Women Football League continues in Lagos
on Wednesday.

Following
dropped points in last week’s action on home soil against Ibom
Angels, champions, Rivers Angels are now condemned to get a decent
result against FC Robo Queens at the Legacy Pitch of the National
Stadium in Lagos.

The
hosts lost 2-1 to Bayelsa Queens in Nembe over the weekend, making
Akaraonye to envisage a tough game.

Akaraonye,
however, believes her girls will put up a good fight during the game.

I
can’t use our last result to judge the girls and I believe they
know what is at stake on Wednesday after dropping those points last
week,” Akaraonye told the Rivers Angels Media.

I
also believe they will put up a good fight to get the point they lost
at home,” she added.

The
former Rivers Angels skipper also used the opportunity to dismiss the
fact that the team was under the pressure to retain the NWFL title.

Akaraonye
is optimistic the team is still poised on making the top spot on the
log but however insists they weren’t doing that under any pressure.

We
are not under any pressure. In the game of football you either win or
lose,” Akaraonye said.

For
the fact that we drew at home doesn’t mean we don’t know where we
are headed.

Our
target is to top our group and I know my girls will do it,” she
concluded.

The
reverse fixture ended 3-0 in Port Harcourt in favour of Rivers
Angels.
