V10 FC, Spartans and Osteen Ejiasa Academy are some of the teams that have made it to the finals of the Neymar Jr’s Fives in Port Harcourt.
The day 2 of Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Fives regional qualification in Port Harcourt saw Spartan FC beat teams in their group in clinical fashion to qualify to the final rounds on Sunday.
Meanwhile, NigerianFootballer.com battled hard but their effort was not enough to see them through as they crashed out in the group stages.
Other teams through to the finals are Ballack FC, Big Five, Tiki Taka, Nino Nights and V10 FC.

Day one of the qualifiers had thirty-two teams, out of which the top 8 qualified to the finals to be played on Sunday after round-robin games in their groups.
Excel FC, Victory FC, Rivers State University FC, Glodek FC, Mighty Six, Citadel FC, Hollando FC, and Indomitable Lion FC.
Speaking after day 2 encounter, Peresriye Joy, a female player from Oklean Football Academy expressed her excitement towards the tournament praying, casting and binding that God will help her team to qualify
“Firstly, it is a privilege to be part of it this year. At least it is another exposure to we girls. I am really grateful to the sponsors for making us participate in this competition.
“That I am a female does not make me any difference against the guys when we battle.

“Football requires patience, courage and to be determined to achieve goals.
“For our club, we are hoping that our 7 points will help in qualifying as the only female team. Definitely, our purpose and aim is to win anyone if we get to the finals, beat any team and qualify to the National finals, she told NigerianFootballer.com.
Bayo Akande of Five Sports, Red Bull partnered with Neymar to host the event.

“This is a football program organised by Red Bull and Neymar who came together. Its really for mature footballers to showcase their talent and get the opportunity to meet him and have fun with his friends.
“Yeah, we are trying to see how we can get an extra team from here to Lagos for the national finals. We are still working out logistics and hopefully, we can do that.
“It has been a brilliant turnout and I’m very impressed. Port Harcourt had a great turn today, and hope it will get better tomorrow.
“Red Bull wants to make sure that all the multitude of footballers in Nigeria gets the opportunity to play. So I am sure next year many will want to participate,” Bayo Akande said.

The Port Harcourt finals hold Sunday 5th May 2019, as twenty-four qualified teams will trade tackles for the sole ticket for the National finals in Lagos.
