After three days of speculations and rumour mongering, the Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has approved and accepted the technical assistance offered by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for Salisu Yusuf to join the team.
Yusuf who was Super Eagles chief coach until his one year suspension was introduced to players of the club after their afternoon training session on Wednesday by the General Manager, Davidson Owumi.
Salisu Yusuf was introduced to the players alongside former Delta Force F.C gaffer, Mbwas Mangut who will be his assistant.
“I am here on a technical assistance because the team, Rangers International F.C, is representing the country in the CAF Confederation Cup and circumstances on ground led to the Federation assigning me here. I am always positive. We want to take the team to the next level from where they are now. We know it is not going to be easy. We need to change some things but it is going to be a gradual process,” stated the much traveled gaffer.
On his immediate task which is the first game of the group stage of the Confederation Cup against 2018/2019 Egyptian Cup winners, Pyramids F.C, Salisu said, “Positively, we are hoping for a better result. We are going to work very hard in the next two days to see where to improve the team but not necessarily making so many changes.”
