It was another close shave on Saturday as we were let down by four “unfortunate teams” who vitiated our Saturday’s Chance Mix ACCA Special.
A rather painstaking edit, as we always advise, could have taken out those four teams. As we always say, we go again!
The action continues on Sunday all across leagues in Europe, Asia, and Africa as teams continue to play within the confine of what’s permitted by the “new normal” brought about by the Covid-19 outbreak.
The FA Cup quarter-finals fixtures conclude today with three matches involving six Premier League teams. Of particular interest is the one going down at the King Power Stadium, where not less than three Nigerian players namely, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Tammy Abraham, are expected to be in action when Leicester City play host to the high flying Chelsea.
Leicester City, marshaled in the middle by the Super Eagles midfield maestro, Wilfred Ndidi have not lost to Chelsea inside 90 minutes since 2017 (W1, D5), and go into this FA Cup quarter-final after losing only one of their last six home games across all competitions (W3, D2, L1) – and that defeat was to Manchester City.
At the Bramall Lane, Bukayo Saka will be part of the visiting Arsenal team to slug it out with Sheffield United. Arsenal must fancy their chances of becoming the first away team on the day to win a H2H encounter since 2007 (D1, L2), cruising through to the quarter-finals with the opening goal in all three of their FA Cup games, as well as clean sheets and half-time, leads in two of those three.
In Italy, Victor Moses is expected to be at the heart of defence when Inter Milan travel to the Stadio Ennio Tardini for a must-win Serie A encounter with Parma. Visitors Inter Milan travel as losers in just two of their last 20 league games overall (W11, D7, L2). Impressively, five of their last seven SA wins have yielded a 2+ goal margin while also seeing them win the second half ‘to-nil’.
Elsewhere, in Greece, Nigerian in-form striker, Brown Ideye will lead the line as his Aris Thessaloniki side host Greek Super League 2nd placed PAOK at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium.
Leagues in Switzerland, Romania, Norway, Czech Republic are not left out of action with some interesting fixtures lined up for this Sunday.
