It was another painful ending on Saturday as we were let down by TWO “unfortunate teams” who vitiated our Saturday’s Home Wins ACCA Special
A more careful edit, as we always advise, could have taken out the unfortunate Al-Rayyan SC and Nomme Utd. We won’t give up, we keep going!
It’s another Sunday with no shortage of football actions across leagues in Europe and Asia, and Nigerian footballers are not left out of the frenzy.
In Italy, it’s the final matchday fixtures for the 2019/20 Serie A season. Super Eagles defender Ola Aina will be in action for Torino final matchday encounter away to Bologna at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
Torino have lost six of their last ten SA games (W2, D2, L6), with eight of those ten seeing goals at both ends. This ties in to Torino’s poor 33.33% loss rate after scoring first (W9, D3, L6). On that topic, Torino have conceded 37.31% of their SA ‘goals against’ via set pieces and penalties. The hosts have won just one of their last seven SA home games (W1, D3, L3) with all three draws ending 1-1 and seeing a goal in each half.
With a lone point from their last nine SA road trips (D1, L8), Torino have been a travel-weary side. Seven of those nine matches saw Torino concede 2+ goals, with five losses coming via at least a two-goal margin. Torino have also lost each of the eight SA away matches in which they’ve trailed at HT.
Elsewhere, in Scotland, having helped Rangers to secure the maximum three points in their opening Scottish Premiership matchday action away at Aberdeen, Super Eagles duo of Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun will be focusing on archival & defending champions, Celtic when they host Hamilton Academical at Celtic Park in Glasgow.
Celtic stormed to the title with relative ease once again last season, whereas Hamilton just managed to stave off relegation when the campaign was curtailed.
Neil Lennon’s side finished last season a whopping 13 points ahead of fierce rivals Rangers, albeit having played a game more, and Celtic will no doubt feel confident about their chances of finishing atop the rankings once again this time around.
Leagues in Switzerland, Norway, Belarus, Bosnia, Faroe Islands, China are not left out of action with some interesting fixtures lined up for this Sunday.
Amidst these exciting actions across Europe, we have carefully picked a few matches in this Home and Away Wins ACCA.
We are backing the odds on favorites to triumph in the 10 selected matches. These selections have been made based on the teams’ current forms and best available head to head stats.
