Former Plateau United midfielder, Michael Ibe has told NigerianFootballer.com that he joined Uzbek side, Mash’al FC because of his brother.
Ibe signed a one year deal with the club and adds that it was his relationship with Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, who he sees as his brother that further convinced him to sign.
“Among the three clubs that came for my signature, I chose Marshal FC because of the contract and agreement they put before me.
“And knowing fully well that I have a friend here Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, who is like a brother to me and also the structure of the team are other reasons why I chose the club.
“I have also watched them play and I have seen the plans the team have for me and that was why I joined Marsh’al FC. I also want to give my best to the team before the end of the season,” Ibe told NigerianFootballer.com.
“I did well in the first round of the league and I also want to double my performance here, score more goals and see what will happen before the season ends.
“I also came to have a good time here but not to spend a long time knowing that I have to give my best so that I can get a bigger offer.”
Michael Ibe also spoke about his contract with the club which played its part in convincing him.
“Based on my agreement with the team, I think they are on the same page with me knowing that I need to go to a bigger place to further my future so for now, I am good with the decision and the contract with the club.
“So, from now to the end of the season, I want to continue, I want to put in more, so I can achieve my aim,” Ibe said.
Meanwhile, Ibe played eight games out of ten for FC Andijan recording five-assist before joining FC Mash’al on a one year deal.
