Nigeria’s Super Eagles were poor on Friday night as they lost 1-0 to Algeria in an International Friendly match played in Austria.
Ramy Bensebaini scored in the 6th minute after the Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye and his defence failed to react to a corner kick.
Ramy slotted home for the only goal of the game.
The Algerians defended stoutly and were very organised as they warded off forays from the Super Eagles.
Gernot Rohr started in a 4-3-3 formation with Zaidu Sanusi and Frank Onyeka who had never before played for the Super Eagles.
“This is a very good test for us. There are positives to pick from a tough game like this. Now we have to recover well and start to plan for the next game on Tuesday against another tough team,” Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr said on the official Super Eagles Twitter.
On Tuesday, it will be Nigeria versus Tunisia as the Super Eagles round up the FIFA International window.
