It’s Monday with not many football actions around the world except for a few games to conclude match week actions in a few top and lower leagues in Europe, Africa and Asia.

In the English Premier League, Nigerian born English youngster Tammy Abraham is expected to lead the attack for Chelsea when the ‘Blues’ entertain the impressive West Ham United at the Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea fell to their second defeat in a row on Tuesday as Wolves came from behind to clinch an injury time winner, but the Blues will be hoping to get back on track tonight.

Frank Lampard’s side have only won one of their last four games, but at home they haven’t lost since mid-September and they have scored 14 goals in their five home games since.

West Ham will be a tough test though. The Hammers sit just a point behind their London rivals and have only lost one of their last six Premier League games. That was an unlucky defeat at home to Manchester United, but they have shown signs of a downturn recently.

Their draw with Crystal Palace was a very flat performance and West Ham are showing signs of tiredness. They come into this with the excellent Jarrod Bowen and Aaron Cresswell as potential injury doubts too, which certainly doesn’t help their chances.

These two ancient London rivals have fought one another on 98 occasions in the English top-flight, and Chelsea boast a slender advantage there (W40, D21, L37). However, they lost last season’s battle here 1-0, and defeat will see them complete a run of successive home league H2H losses vs West Ham for the first time since 1996.

Elsewhere, in the Danish Superliga, Ogochukwu Onyeka will be leading the middle of the packs for Midtjylland when they welcome Nordsjaelland to the MCH Arena in Herning.

Midtjylland have won five of the last six matches against Nordsjaelland. The visitors have lost their last two matches in the Danish Superliga and are facing another defeat against Midtjylland side which doesn’t concede many goals at home. Midtjylland have drawn five of their last six matches in all competitions, but get the chance to regain top spot in the Danish Superliga tonight.

Nordsjaelland have suffered successive defeats in the danish Superliga, losing to Sonderjyske 2-1 and FC Copenhagen 1-0 in the last two weeks. The defeats mean it is just one win in the last six matches for Flemming Steen Pedersen’s side, who in the midst of their worst run of form of the season. Nordsjaelland have struggled on the road with seven losses in their last 11 away matches in all competitions.

Domestic leagues in Greece, Romania, Israel, Palestine, Egypt conclude matchweek actions.
