It was another close shave on Thursday as we were let down by ONE “unfortunate team” who vitiated our Midweek Home Wins ACCA Special.
A rather painstaking edit, as we always advise, could have taken out the “unfortunate” Supersport United. As we always say, we go again!
It’s another Sunday with no shortage of football actions across leagues in Europe and Africa, and Nigerian footballers continue to hold sway amidst the frenzy.
However, the focus this Sunday is on the 2021 Nigeria Professional Football league (NPFL) which enters its 3rd Matchday.
Enyimba International will be hoping to consolidate on their CAF Champions League victory against Al-Merreikh, a win which was not enough to take them through to the CAF Champions League group stage, when they host Wikki Tourists. Wikki Tourists on the other hand, were held to a goalless draw at home by visiting Plateau United on Matchday 2 and will hope to find favour at the Enyimba International stadium.
MFM are up against Sunshine Stars in Lagos. The Akure gunners will have a daunting task fighting for their first ever NPFL point at the Agege stadium.
Buoyed by two big wins against Abia Warriors and Enugu Rangers respectively, Rivers United will seek to maintain their unbeaten start when they host Kwara United at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.
Elsewhere, in the Italian Serie A, Napoli still playing without the Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen travel to Udine to take on Udinese at Dacia Arena.
Napoli are going through a slump, losing three of their last five Serie A matches (W1, D1, L3). Their tally of five Serie A losses this campaign is their worst such number at this stage of any top-flight season since 2007/08. Midtable Udinese are just four points above the Serie A relegation zone after a five-match winless league run (D3, L2).
Other Nigerian players expected to be in action today include Simy Nwankwo for Serie A basement club Crotone away at Hellas Verona; Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye for Sparta Rotterdam at home to their Dutch Eredivise cross-city rivals Feyenoord; Victor Adeboyejo for Barnsley in their FA Cup Third Round home clash against Tranmere.
Amidst these exciting actions across Europe and Africa, we have carefully picked a few matches in this Home Wins ACCA.
We are backing the home teams to triumph in the 10 selected matches. These selections have been made based on the teams’ current forms and best available head to head stats.
See bet slip below for the selected matches:
