Exciting football actions continue this Sunday across leagues in Europe, Africa and Asia.
Headlining the Super Sunday programs in England is the heavyweight FA Cup quarter-final clash between Manchester United and Leicester City, parading the Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho.
An injury-hit Leicester gave themselves a massive confidence boost last weekend as they demolished the Championship-bound Sheffield United at the King Power Stadium, but they will face a much sterner test today.
Manchester United have had their only injury problems to deal with as Anthony Martial, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford continue to struggle, but midweek saw the welcome return of Paul Pogba as he came on at half-time to score the winner at the San Siro.
Across the border, Super Eagles duo of Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun will be in action for Rangers as the newly crowned Scottish Premiership champions seek to complete a hat trick of victories against the dethroned champions Celtic in the Old Firm Derby.
Rangers may not be getting a guard of honour this weekend, but they can still cap an incredible season with a victory at Celtic Park.
The Gers were dumped out of the Europa League in midweek just shy of the quarter-finals. That ran alongside a fantastic Premiership campaign which has seen them win 28 of 32 games this term.
Meanwhile, things have been tougher for Celtic. The Bhoys have slumped to 20 points shy of the champions, while they’ve lost both Old Firm clashes with Rangers this season.
Elsewhere, in the Italian Serie A, Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen will lead the attack for Napoli as the Naple look to avoid being leapfrogged by Roma into the top four when the two sides clash at Stadio Olimpico.
Roma’s 2-1 win at Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek confirmed their position as the only remaining Italian team in European competition, and a win on Sunday could see them jump into the top four spots in Serie A as we approach the run in.
Napoli have turned a corner recently and find themselves unbeaten in five matches, but concerns around their away record were only partially eased when they edged a 1-0 win at Milan earlier this month. Prior to that they were winless in seven trips in all competitions, losing six of those and conceding 19 goals in the process.
At the home front, there are full matchday actions in the 2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL 21) which enters its 17th round today. The top of the bunch clash is the encounter between MFM FC and Akwa United at the Agege Stadium.
