Exciting football actions continue this Sunday across leagues in Europe, Africa and Asia.

In the English Premier League, Aston Villa take on Josh Maja and Ola Aina’s dogged Fulham at the Villa Park.

The Villains have won only twice in their last nine league assignments since the end of January, and having briefly flirted with the notion of continental qualification, their season looks like petering out to mid-table nothingness instead.

Fulham meanwhile, are still within a hair’s breadth of safety, and the Cottagers’ only defeat in their last ten away tests came against champions-elect Man City.

Across the border, Super Eagles duo of Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun will be in Scottish Cup action for Rangers as the newly crowned Scottish Premiership champions play host to Scottish League One side Cove Rangers.

Rangers will expect to have no issues getting past Cove Rangers as they have remarkably won all 16 of their domestic home matches this season, scoring 47 goals in the process and conceding just twice.

Cove claimed an impressive victory at Championship outfit Alloa Athletic to set up this third-round tie, but they have never beaten a team from the top-tier of Scottish football.

Elsewhere, in the French Ligue 1, Moses Simon’s Nantes will be aiming to further enhance their survival chances when they entertain mid-table Nice at the Stade de la Beaujoire.

Another positive result on Sunday could see Nantes move out of the relegation zone, but they will be up against a Nice side that have also impressed of late, taking 10 points from their last four Ligue 1 games.

Like Nantes, Nice have been amongst the goals over recent weeks, as they have netted in each of their last nine league fixtures.

At the home front, there are full matchday actions in the 2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL 21) which enters its 19th round today. The top of the bunch clash is the encounter between Kwara United  and Nasarawa United at the Kwara Sports Stadium.
