Head coach of Plateau United, Abdu Maikaba says his team lacks clinical finishing after they failed to amass all three points at home on Sunday.
Maikaba, said this after his side’s draw with Enyimba FC of Aba in Jos on Match Day 29.
“It’s football and the results can come anyhow. We did our best and for the players, I salute them for giving their best clearly the best is not enough to get three points that shows we have to add something to our game more especially something that is missing which is clear finishing in front of goal.
“I believe the reason is psychological as they are always anxious when we do not score early. Anxiety sets in they find it very difficult to have that calmness to finish attack,” Maikaba said.
“We have very nice build up and I salute them for that, but we squandered a lot of chances.
“I hope we can be able to calm down and convert our chances because as far as we are playing well like this we will create the chances,” Maikaba said.
Plateau United occupied the 8th position on the log with 48 points from 29 matches and they will face Rivers United in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
