Coaches of Nigeria Professional Football League side, MFM FC quit on Wednesday evening, according to reports from a person who should know.
Head coach of the club, Tony Bolus and his assistant, Yemi Olanrewaju threw in the towel and no reason was given.
Renowned Nigerian league writer, Tobi Adepoju wrote on social media, “Breaking!!! Yemi Olanrewaju has resigned as MFM FC assistant coach.
A few minutes later, the same Tobi Adepoju posted, “Breaking! According to sources inside the camp of MFM FC, head coach, Tony Bolus has resigned. Two major resignations in one day.”
The resignation was later confirmed by Yemi Olanrewaju on his twitter where he wrote, “ Thank you every one for your support for the past two years I have been working with MFM FC. I have resigned my position as the assistant coach of the club. I wish the team the best.”
MFM FC have gone through a rough patch in the current league season but are 14th on the log after 9 games.
