Ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup final, Orlando Pirates defender, Olisa Ndah says playing at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo will be home away from home as his side prepare to take on the Moroccan side, RS Berkane.

In an exclusive chat with Wazobia Fm sports presenter, Favour Itua, the Super Eagles defender hinted that his dream is to win the CAF Confederations Cup on the ground he won the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.

“There is going to be a huge support for me and my team, as I have gotten a lot of calls, a lot of text messages from the fans.

“I just hope this can bring luck to my new team because I won the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) so yes it is going to be a big boost for us because I know the fans are going to turn up and are going to support us,” Ndah said.

Orlando Pirates squeezed into the final of the CAF Confederation Cup despite suffering a 1-0 defeat at home to Libyan outfit Al Ahli Tripoli in Johannesburg on Sunday.

Pirates went through with a 2-1 aggregate win having won 2-0 in the first leg played in Libya last weekend.

The 24-year-old defender who has had 7 appearances with the Buccaneers in the CAF Confederation Cup assured fans that they will approach the game with all forms of seriousness with the intention to come out victorious.

“They should expect a good game as we will be coming all out to win the game. We know the team we are playing against and we know how they play, so it is going to be a difficult game. It is not going to be easy but we have to give our all and come out with the victory tomorrow.”

The final between Orlando Pirates and RS Berkane is billed for 8 pm local time on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

This will be Orlando Pirates’ second-ever Confederation Cup final as they lost 2-1 on aggregate to Étoile du Sahel of Tunisia in 2015 while RS Berkane will hope to add to their first CAF Confederations Cup trophy they won in 2020 when they defeated  Pyramids 1-0,
