The Nigeria Football Federation has sent a letter of congratulation to TV Presenter, Philip Obaji (Pictured left) for his efforts in combating football violence and negative vices in the game through 1 GAME.

In a letter signed by its President Aminu Maigari, the Nation’s soccer governing body applauded Obaji’s efforts in projecting a good image for football.

A part of the letter which is dated 30th March, 2011, reads: “On behalf of the Executive Committee and Management Staff, we honour and are privilege to present to you the warmest sporting regards of the Nigeria Football Federation.

“Your true intentions are not hidden, as you are the founder of the 1 GAME project that has been involved in the noble activity of spreading good information and enlightening the generality of football stakeholders on the need to avoid violence in the football arena.”

1 GAME is a non-profit initiative aimed at combating violence and negative fanaticism in football.

The organization calls on public spirited individuals to sign up on its website www.play1game.org to support the campaign.

So far, more than One hundred thousand people have signed up to be part of 1 GAME including Jamaica’s Reggae Musician Shaggy, Hip-hop duo P-Square and Nigeria senior national football team coach Samson Siasia.
