The
Nigeria Professional Football League is set to resume on September 2
after a break that lasted more than two months.
A
person who should know told NigerianFootballer.com that a Time Table
has been presented to the Club chairmen from the League Management
Company that puts the resumption date at Sunday, September 2.
The
League is expected to come to an end on October 28.
Also,
the NFF/ AITEO Cup is set to start Wednesday, August 29 2018.
The
League went on a one month break for the World Cup but had its
restart suspended due to the leadership crisis that engulfed the
Nigeria Football Federation.
With
the Nigerian government on Monday assuring FIFA that they will
support the recognized Federation president an the country
subsequently escaping suspension, it seems normal footballing
activities will resume in the country.
