The Board of the Port Harcourt City League wishes to congratulate Anthony Obia who was the Top Scorer and MVP Award winner of the inaugural edition.
Obia, whole played for SKE FC in the League, later signed for Godosky FC in Nnewi.
In his debut game over the weekend, Obia opened his scoring account in the Nigerian National League (NNL) for Godosky FC as his goal helped them defeat Crown FC by 2-1.
“Obia has done well for himself and we are proud of him,” Kingsley Olisa, one of the organisers of the Port Harcourt City League said on Monday.
“We are happy that Obia has finally made his NNL debut and even scored, for good measure.”
He went further to state his feat and that of several others now playing in the NPFL and NNL shows that talents abound in Port Harcourt.
The Board is optimistic that the 2021 edition will unearth more talent in the City.
At the inaugural edition of the Port Harcourt City League, Anthony Obia finished as top scorer with 16 Goals. He was also named Most Valuable Player, MVP of the League.
