Action continues on Sunday all across leagues in Europe, Asia and Africa as club football is poised to take a break for national team football for the umpteenth time.

The Premier League concludes its Matchweek Eight programs today with some exciting fixtures.

Two high flying teams battle it out for three points when Leicester take on Wolves at the King Power Stadium, Leicester – England. While Leicester City are still without Super Eagles midfield maestro Wilfred Ndidi (groin injury), his compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho is available for the ‘Foxes’.

Leicester City’s 4-0 demolition of Braga (November 5) was their fifth consecutive competitive victory and extended their run of matches without drawing to 15 (W9, L6).

Leagues in Switzerland, Norway, Belarus, Bosnia, Faroe Islands, China  are not left out of action with some interesting fixtures lined up for this Sunday. ). Often striking late, 13 (76.47%) of their 17 Premier League (PL) goals came after the break this term, and seven (53.85%) of those arrived after the 75th minute.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, meanwhile, are unbeaten in four PL games (W3, D1) and no team has kept more league clean sheets than them (four) this term after they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 (October 30). Scoring first in five of their seven PL fixtures this season has yielded a record of: W4, D1.

Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspurs have their eyes on top spot ahead of their clash with Semi Ajayi’s West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.

Struggling West Bromwich Albion (D3, L4) have made their worst start to a league campaign since 1985/86, when they were relegated in last place. Goals have been an issue, and they’ve managed just one across their previous four Premier League (PL) fixtures, and just six all campaign. Interestingly though, four of those six arrived before the 30th minute.

Tottenham’s impressive start to the season (W4, D2, L1) saw them go as high as second for the first time since February 2019 last weekend. They eventually finished the gameweek third, which is coincidentally where they rank in terms of the highest average number of shots on target per game (5.71).

In the Spanish La Liga, Granada will be hoping that Ramon Azeez is fit enough to play after overcoming his thigh injury, when they travel to Reale Seguros Stadium, San Sébastien – Spain to take on high flying Real Sociedad.

However, notwithstanding missing their midweek UEFA Europa League action, Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen is expected to lead the attack for Napoli in their Italian Serie A away encounter with Bologna at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, Bologna – Italy.
